Tether cars operate one at a time, on an circular concrete track, tethered by a steel cable to the centre, and reach speeds in excess of 320kph. 8 laps of the track = 500 metres.
Five International classes are contested, as well as five Australian classes.
Internal combustion engines ranging from 5cc to 10cc capacity power the cars.
Each timed run takes approximately 2-3 seconds so you must be quick to see them.
